March: Studio notes
We made it through our
first weekend at Clay Garden Studios with no bloodshed and very little
frustration, if any! Kudos to Brad Rosenberg for making our first
session relatively painless and quite enjoyable.
We've lain 17 keeper drum tracks
and about 4 bass tracks at this time and the sonics are fantastic.
The first night was pretty much setting everything up and tweaking
sounds for live performances the next day. Saturday morning we jumped
right on it and were able to knock out 12 drum tracks in an 8 hour
session. Of course we had to break for lunch at some point which was
a mistake, big greasy burgers just do not sit well when you are
sitting behind a drum set or standing up with a bass strapped around
your body for several hours. Anyway, enough of that. Sunday
afternoon was well spent, 5 more drum tracks and 4 bass tracks later
we are well on our way to a killer album. Stay tuned for more updates
and studio notes

Attention Ladies and
Gentlemen! In just a few short weeks Action Habit will be holing up
in the studio to begin work on our next release: a full length
album.
We’ve been struggling with the most important detail for weeks now:
who to thank on the liner notes? Close attention to detail is
required. Fist fights have erupted on more than one occasion, but can
you blame me? I really can’t justify the need to thank Dave
Voightritter’s kindergarten teacher.
Once we lay down the recording’s nuts and bolts , get ready for Action
Habit live in April. Make plans to catch Action Habit at both the
Taphouse on Saturday April 15th and VA Beach Seafood &
Southend Pub the very next Saturday, April 22. We’ve got some new
songs to debut, so you won’t want to miss it.
We trust you all made a point of viewing our super-cool promo video on
www.hamptonroads.tv.
Thanks to Craig Kimberly and Justin Jones and for creating such a
masterpiece, we’ll pay you guys back in applesauce. If you haven’t
seen it yet, don’t make plans to engage in more of your
self-destructive behavior - it’s not too late. Visit
www.hamptonroads.tv
, click on the “entertainment” tab at the bottom of the page and click
on the video entitled “Feed your music Habit.”
See you soon.

We had a great time at the last show - thanks
to all who came out to the Taphouse, hope you all caught Churn's
great opening set. We hope to post some pictures/video from the
show in the near future.
Some of our new favorite people include Dr.
Yuping Liu and her ODU graduate students and undergraduate
students that were assigned Action Habit as a group marketing
project. Everyone supplied lots of feedback and great ideas to
implement. Thanks to all who participated, including Stacy Moore,
Joseph Scharl, Quan (Catherine) Magill, and Burak Ozdemir. We hope
to see you all out at the shows!

Radio - Action!
TUNE IN: Tune
in to 96X this Friday night, April 29th and listen to ACTION HABIT
tear it up live in the studio with DJ Alfredo Torres. We'll
be visiting 96X Modern Rock Radio and broadcasting live from
10pm to midnight. We'll be hanging out with DJ Alfredo
"Fan of the Game" Torres and spinning some tunes -
including Action Habit tunes. Torres is famous in his own right, but
he's also great comic relief on the daily Mike and Bob show. ACTION
HABIT plus Torres - tune in to see what happens - will we trash the
place? Will we get Torres drunk? Will we sound really goofy? Listen
and find out - ACTION HABIT on 96X Friday April 29th 10pm-midnight!
ALSO:
this weekend, Saturday night April 30th the Taphouse Debacle, a
music combination you don't want to miss. ACTION HABIT shares
the stage with Star 33 and The Strap-Ons. We'll be playing
second, probably around 10:30, so get there early to catch Star 33
and hang out with us all night.

NOTE: We're now listed on www.hamptonroadsmusic.com
